A quickie Wedding card. Experimenting with a few card designs to catch me up with my backlog of to do items. I used Stampin' Up! new InColors, Curry and Durango, and a new Level 3 hostess set to complete this card. Background is Heidi Grace. Sheer ribbon and gold cord from my MayArts stash.

Hopefully, I will be able to remember to post more often. I got a few more pieces still in the works on my table.

Well, I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later... and this morning I woke up to this:

The lots behind my house are finally being built on. No more no-neighbor-ness. They cleared the lots out and are watering them down, soon there will be jumbo houses sitting on those now empty spaces. But you want to know a secret? I'm happy that they are now being built on, because that means SOMEBODY will be erecting fences on their property- and I wont have to pay for it!!!!!! I know, its my cheapass self talking.... but hey, who has an extra $10,000 in their pockets right now? I sure don't!

World Card Making Day!

What can I say? This probably goes up there with all my favorite holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Anywho, this card is my contribution to WCMD. I ventured into the new Papercrafts site and joined Kim Kesti's WCMD Swap with "Thank You" theme. Can you believe I have had this Eastern Blooms Stampin' Up set for OVER a month and I hadn't used it ONCE? Still fresh! The layout for this card was inspired by Beate's Weekend Challenge, it has been modified slightly though.

One of my FAVORITE elements on this card are these Martha Stewart Faux Pearls. Aren't they so pretty? Everytime I go into the store I stare at these and try to convince myself I don't need them. I gave in and I totally LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Now I gotta go get me some more. And guess what I got them at WalMart. Hehehe.

Isn't this so cute?! I finally got in my order from the new SU! catalog and let me tell you something Ms. Molly, there are some FABOULOUS designs in there. The main image is stamped in Really Rust on Vanilla CS. The set is called Upsy Daisy. Love, Love, Love the silhouette images! "{Best wishes}" is stamped in Choc. Chip. The sentiment is part of the Cute & Curly set which I got for {free}! -Email me to ask me how!- Cute & Curly consist of 4 stamps and a matching jumbo punch, awesome! I'm having a hard time selling my stamps here locally, so I am going to box them up and sell them for an outrageous price. The boxes are the USPS flat rate box sized 11 x 8.5 x 8.5. They will be filled full, with 1/2 inch of cushion on top and bottom to protect the stamps. Each box will contain an assortment, unless specified. If I have enough of a certain brand, I will group by brand (i.e Hero Arts, Amuse, etc.) Each box will be priced at $30 and that includes the shipping ($8.95). Lets start with this fantanstically cute card. I just cant tell you how much I LOVE this card. The original was created by the great Mary Jo Albright. I was having a lazy Sunday afternoon and was surfing SCS when I came upon this little number. I just had to recreate it! Isnt it the best? There was no template for this card, just cut a little here and there and create a shape of a house. I used red cardstock {DCWV} and distressed it with Barn Brown ink {Whispers}. I cut the red into little thin strips and just started layering for the boards. {And continue with the trim a little here and there..} I also used my corner rounder and medium circle punch {SU!}. The stamp set is Ruff Day {SU!}. Grass made from scrap sage CS {SU}. Dark Brown, Eggplant, and Cream CS from PaperZone. Foam dots from Dollar Tree.

Yes, ladies and gentleman, your eyes aren't foolin' ya. My Stamp room probably has more stuff then your local Scrappin' Store. I found these awesome Closet Maid racks at Home Depot and knew they would be perfect for my ribbon spools! In these 3 beautiful columns of ribbon I have over 350 spools! Yes folks, thats not a type-o, THREE HUNDRED FIFTY. Thats TONS of storage for the price. Each 4 self rack is $15. Which may seem like alot, but after doing some investagating online- it was the cheapest way for me to go. Now I just need ideas on storing my NON-spooled ribbons....

Its been awhile since I've had time to actually sit down and craft. Many changes have happened in this fabulous month of July. {Which happens to be my favorite month, by the way. Can anybody guess why??} More about the changes later, but first a card:

This card was created for a Sympathy Card Swap. Unfortunately, in my line of business {healthcare} I use these all the time. You'd think that since I DO use these are the time, I would actually have a Sympathy stamp- but NO {gasp!} I don't. I inprov'd with this Love stamp and I think its a pretty good fit. Surprise!- no Stampin Up, except for ink, on this card. Thats a cool accomplisment for me. The card base is standard sized cut from Dark Brown CS. Flowers and Love sentiment are stamped on Watercolor Paper. Faux River Rock silky satin ribbon is from Michael's. The designer paper is from Heidi Grace, it is the opposite side of an double sided sheet. The interior of the card is lined with cream CS. More deets later...

The mother of all challenges. I finally found some free time on my hands- no work, no deadlines- and decided to jump in and join the Sunday challenge over on the Papercrafts Message Board. Today's challenge had the following critera- Colors (Purple, Orange, and Lime Green) and Embellishments (arrows and 3 brads). This was a toughy, all these colors reminded me of halloween and I didnt want to fall into the easy Halloween trap (it is July after all!). I've been wanting to play with this Seriously Sassy set that I acquired awhile ago. It was tough, but I overcame!!! The designer paper is from DCWV Fall Stack. (Thats my only give into Halloween!!!!) I've been on a plaid phase and totally dig this DP. I stamped "Seriously" in Elegant Eggplant on Whisper White and inked up the edges in Pumpkin Pie. I layered it on Elegant Eggplant, and distressed both layers with my Heidi Swapp (thanks Heidi!!!) Edge Distresser. The arrows are from a chipboard embellie pack by Basic Grey that I got a long, long, long time ago at Craft Warehouse. The orange CS is by Bazzill, but I'm not sure what the offical color name is- Sorry! The totally cool "CUTE" is made by Cloud 9 designs. I toned down the lime green color by inking the edges in more Pumpkin Pie. The ribbon is from May Arts. I hope ya' like it- cause I think its pretty darn cool. :)

Sand Castles in the Sky

A fun, beach themed card to share with you today. For this card, I pulled out my trusty TAC stamp- which I still love after all these years!) I tried some new techniques for this one. Instead of coloring the image first, I chose my Designer Paper first. I then picked out watercolors that would match the paper. I liked how this turned out, I was able to challenge myself and use colors that might have been out of my comfort zone. I also was able to use Raffia (Sp?) on this card, which is also something I havent used in ages. This raffia has three colors in it that was just a great addition to this card. The deets: White Card Base- PaperZone. DP- Basic Grey. Dark Brown CS- Paperzone. Watercolor Paper- Canson. Sandcastle/Beach stamp- The Angel Company. Watercolors- markers by Whispers. Adhesive- ATG. TriColor Raffia- May Arts. Tools- Tonic Paper Trimmer, Friskars Rotary Trimmer with Scallop blade.

A nifty, thrifty tip!

This neat-o tip I got from Gina K. Designs. I've been envy-ing those awesome paper pierced cards that everyone makes, but didnt want to spend 16 dollars of my hard earned green backs on the SU kit. ($10 for item + $6 shipping) While browsing through Gina's site, I came upon this and LOVED LOVED LOVED the idea. I didnt purchase her kit, but instead went out and bought them at Walmart. In hind site, it is much easier to buy her kit. It is very low cost, and if you buy them at the store they come 5/6 to a package of the same shape. I also had to scour many stores to find a SINGLE sheet of square canvas. (PS if you are doing a Google search, they are called PLASTIC CANVAS).

Isn't this card great? I love how everything turned out, I orignally planned this for a swap card, but I think I'm gonna make more and give the set away as a gift. Love how are the elements turned out. And this set, what can I say? Its awesome. I cased this card from Confessions of a Ribbon Addict. She did such an awesome job, and I LOVE the rope detail! My card is far more simple, simply because I dont have the patient to repeat all the lovely tidbits.

Day 183 of My Captivity: My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre
little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am
forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of
escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional pieceof furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another house plant. Today my attempt to
kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost
succeeded; must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust
and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on
their favorite chair, must try this on their bed. Decapitated a mouse and
brought them the headless body, in an attempt to make them aware of what I
am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed
and condescended about what a good little cat I was. Hmmm, not working
according to plan. There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I
was placed in solitary confinement throughout the event. However, I could
hear the noise and smell the food. More importantly, I overheard that my
confinement was due to my power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and
how to use it to my advantage. I am convinced the other captives are
flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more
than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other
hand, has got to be an informant, he speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the high metal room, his safety is
assured. But I can wait, it is only a matter of time ....

Dear Dogs & Cats,
The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing.
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king-sized bed. I am very sorry about this.
Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.
For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob, or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. I have been using the bathroom for years canine or feline attendance is not mandatory.
The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough!
To pacify you my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our front door:
Rules for Non-Pet Owners Who Visit and Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.)
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours, and does not speak clearly.
Remember:Dogs and cats are better than kids because they: eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called, never drive your car, don't hang out with drug-using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about having to buy the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and if they get pregnant, you can sell their children.

Does this look patriotic to you? I sure hope so! I was going for a 4th of July theme, but alas I dont have any firework stamps or even any stamps with flags on them (I know, the horror!) so I imporvised. I love this background paper. The background, red, and blue, DP are all from SonBurn designs. (My fat paperpack I got at Sam's). I stamped the grid DP with my free wheel that I got in the SU! Free Wheelin' promo. The stamp is from SU! Pun Fun set. This set is so cute and versatile, I just love it!!!! Thanks for peekin', I appreciate it!

Yumm-o. Enough said. The craftin' bakin' jive is flowing again, and I sprang out these cupcakes today. Milk chocolate cakes in hoatie-toatie gold foil wrapper. Originally I was going for the classic Pink & Brown look, but I could only find my purple coloring paste. The frosting is tinted Buttercream with a few pastel sprinkles.

I found myself with a few spare moments to work on a swap and this is what I came up with. This card was created for the Square card swap hosted by Shurlyjean on the PCMB. I stole the general idea from a card I had recieved about 2 years ago. The sketch was simply, clean, and had a WOW! factor. For the card base I cut 5.5x11 rectangles, and folded them in half for a 5.5 Sq Card. The designer paper is from the Costco Stack that I bought a whole lotta years ago (good designer paper never goes out of style!). Using the Petal Prints set from SU! I stamped the large flowers in Groovy Guava with Only Orange centers. The small flower is stamped in Bayou Blue. I also stamped the "delight" rectangle in Groovy Guava and "delight" was stamped in Bayou Blue. I used Whisper White as the bases for these images. The ribbon I found at Michael's on clearance for $1.00 a spool. I love the color- I think it matches River Rock nicely. The ribbon is Satin on a 10 yard spool- what a deal!

Patty's got her groove back. I've been workin' like a mad man trying to finish up on wedding invitations and completing lots of swaps. April about did me in. Let's not repeat that. I'm trying my best to restrict myself from signing up for too many swaps and getting into that *crazy* place again. And yes.. I was that person that everyone loathes- I was late on alot of swaps. I promise I will do my best on gettin it in on time again!!! I promise, I really do!!!

Here are a couple of cards that I completed recently...
I bought a whole bunch of Clear Cling stamps at JoAnn's when they were having a 50% of sale. This is one of Amy Smythe's sets. This card is for a PC Pro Swap- For the Birds, hosted by Alisa B. The birds were stamped on water color paper and carefully colored with watercolors. I prefer to use Whispers Dye Ink for stamping with my Clears because the SU Classic ink always beads up on me (and Staz-On is to hard to clean). I was going for Boho look with card, I'm not sure if it turned out that way though. Oh well, live and learn. The deets: White and Brown Cardstock from PaperZone, DP from My Mind's Eye (I think), scallop scissors from Dollar Tree, Watercolor paper from Canson, Black and Crimson Ink from Whispers, Watercolors created from Whispers Markers, Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink, Ribbon from SU!, Adhesive from Scotch ATG.

This card was created for PC Pro Sue's Flowers Card Swap. I wanted to use some new paper I found at Sam's Club, a giant paper stack from SunBurn Designs. The colors are so fun and bright- just in time for spring and summer!! I dug through my stash of cards and selected these red 5.5 x 5.5 Sq cards for my base. I then cut the pink floral base to 5.25 Sq. The green polka dot is 5.25 x 2.5. The yellow stripe is 1 x 5.25. I tied matching sheer ribbons around the paper bands and attached the tag to that. The deets: Card base is from DCWV, DP from Sunburn Designs, Sheer Ribbon from Craft Warehouse, White Cardstock from Walmart, Friendship Blooms stamp set from Stampin' Up!, Adhesives from Scotch ATG.

Oh to have some peaceful stamping time. Stamping time is getting as rare as rice at Costco. Today I am sitting at my cute little booth at a college job fair. {Since when did Marketing Director=H.R. Recruiter??!!} Anybody want to live in Central Washington and have a RN. LPN, or CNA license??? I WANT YOU! Hopefully this shindig wont take to much of my time and I can sneek away and finish my cards!!!!!!

A quickie..

Here's a quickie card that made as a make up for Leslie's Walk In My Garden Swap. Most likely, I was being stupid and forgot to make them and send them- funny thing is I crossed it off my list, and deleted all relating email- basically I've lost my mind. For this card I used a new set and some new cardstock. I recently acquired the Garden Whimsey set from SU, which I loved from looking at the samples in the cattie. This card is cased from SCS galleries- I do not know who the orignal stamper was. The tulip is stamped on watercolor paper using SU Classic Inks in Cameo Coral and Old Olive. After stamping, I "smudged" the ink a little to make it look like it was watercolored. The sentiment is also stamped in Old Olive. For the background, I used Chatterbox DP and Cameo Coral Cardstock. The Cameo Coral CS is embossed with an Cuttlebug folder- Im not sure of the name, but its the one of the new ones with all the fancy flowers on it. Also on the tulip panel, I added "life's too short" on the bottome corner. Its stamped in Cameo Coral ink and punched out with the Word Window punch. For a quickie card, this sure did turn out well. New Embossing Folders!

Let me just start out by tooting my own horn. *Toot-toot* I wanted so badly to experiment with my NEW Cuttlebug A2 Embossing folders, and this card series turned out real swell!!!! For these cards, I started with a colored cardstock base- make sure your CS is not White cored. I then inked up my folder with Stampin' Up's Classic inks before I layed down my circle cardstock. I experimented- I inked up both sides to see which one worked best for this design. All the cards are slightly different as far as the inking goes. On the Guava card, I inked the raised image, rather then inking the folder. All the cards are unqiuely differnt, and definately worth the time to fiqure this stuff out. The colors I used, in order of appearance are: Bashful Blue, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, and Groovy Guava. After all the inking was finished, I stamped "So Very" and "missed" in Walnut dye ink over the embossed image. In hindsight, I would have stamped the stentiment first and then embossed, but it still turned out okay. I've been challenging myself to dig out all my "cool" tools and use up my supplies. I used Fastenator Staple Bars to bracket the sentiment. On th Guava card, the metal corner is from Club Scrap (from a long, long time ago). The brass stars are also from Club Scrap. The ribbon was left over Christmas ribbon that I got at Michaels. Thanks for looking! {and lettin' me ramble}.

I've been wanting to use this set for the **LONGEST** time. I finally got a chance to pull out my Sweet Dreams Hostess set this morning and I came up with this little diddy. I challenged myself to just stamp without browsing for the galleries. I'm not so sure if I even like this color combo, but it will do for now. I started the card by pulling out my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and stamped the scallop'd frame on white CS in Bayou Blue. Then, using the SAMJ, I inked up the flowers in Pink Passion and centered as best as I could in the frame. Finally I stamped the small Polka Dot background in Soft Sky. I trimed and tied a sheer silver ribbon around the image. The DP is from one of the Provo Craft stacks that I have laying around, Im not sure which one- I know its really OLD though. I used Friskars Scallop'd shears to cut a white border around my pinkish red DP. Everything was layer'd and I got this card! The brads are from Queen & Co.

I know my sister and my cousins will know exactly who this is- DORAEMAN!!!!!!! I miss having my Doraeman around, those where the days... huggin' Doraeman and reading his comics- he's such a cool cat. So here's to Doraeman, who was just recently named Japan's Anime Ambassador! If only I could decorate like that!

In my house, you can always tell when the seasons change by what type of wreath I have on my door. Its taken me awhile to get a spring theme wreath on the door simply because I haven't found anything I liked. I've browsed through endless stores and flower bins looking for the perfect wreath or flowers and have found nothing I wanted, even the expensive stuff didn't get my mojo going. Saturday evening I went to Walmart and thought I would stop by the faux flower aisle to take a gander- and voila! to my very pleasant surprise, flowers that actually LOOKED like real quality flowers! Now I'm not diggin' on Walmart flowers but you gotta admit some of them look very florescent! For this type/size of wreath, you will need, 1 naked wreath, 6 large peony blossoms, 10-12 small-medium roses, 18 flower'd sprays, and leaves as flillers. I used 1 $3.00 bunch of White Peonies; 2 $0.94 bunches of peach/pink roses, and 4 $0.94 bunches of pink and white sprays. The total cost of this project was just $10.00! You will get a much better quality wreath if you make it yourself! To start the wreath, just center your largest blossom and then work out from there. I rotate from left to right.. So you center the first flower, add some leaves on the left, then add some leaves to the right, and then back and forth to get a balanced circle. Once you start and get a groove on, its very easy.

A Groovy New Technique (at least for me!)

This card started out with inspiration from SCS member galleries. The card base is made using an 8.5 x 11 piece of white card stock that I cut into "standard" size. 4.25 x 11 inches- basically, cut in half length wise. I then scored the center and viola! you have a card. The orange sherbert cardstock is then cut to 4x5.25 and layer onto the card base. For the large image square, I used a new technique call'd "Faux Silk" which was taught as a Wednesday tutorial on SCS. To find great instructions to this technique visit SCS and then procedue to the "resources" tab. There is a list of tons of awesome techniques for you to tr. This card utalizes images from the Best Blossoms Stampin Up set. I stamped the blossoms in Groovy Guava and the leaf in Sage Shadow. (Its a conspiricy- I still think my groovy guava is "orange") Oh yeah, the blossoms and leaves are stamped on tissue paper- the gift kind not the AH-Choo! kind. I wrinkled up the tissue and glued it on a sheet of white cardstock and then cut to my needed size. I ran the image through my "Sew Cute" sewing maching to get the edge piercings. I finished the image by layering on Sage shadow-y looking green cardstock and added the white grosgrain ribbon. It was then adhear'd to the orange cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in Chocolate Chip on a simple scrap rectangle of Watercolor paper. I added a small scrap of green cardstock to highlight the sentiment and added the silver brad. I layerd the sentiment rectangle again on the card and viola! the card is finished. Very simple and quick. The technique adds texture and "fun-ness" to the card. Hope you give "faux silk" a try! The deets: Best Blossom stamp set, Sage Shadow, Groovy Guava, Chocolate Chip inks all by Stampin Up! Ribbon and white cardstock from Walmart. Orange and green cardstock by Bazzil. Tissue from Dollar Tree.

Baby Fever!

If I do say so myself, this creation turned out *Fabulous*. This was a Card Sketch swap, hosted on the PC Mag website. The inspiration for this design was born from paper scraps left over from altering wooden letters. I started with a cream colored base layer for my card and then distressed all edges with Tim Holtz' Tea Dye ink pad. I then built up the layers from there. I used my SU! slit punch to create the blue scalloped border. The deets: Cream CS from Paperzone; DP from Baby Boy Nana's Nursey Stack from DCWV; Slit punch from Stampin' Up; Ribbons from Craft Warehouse; Friendship Blooms Stamp Set and Baby Carriage stamps from SU!; Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery ink from SU!; Tea Dye ink from Tim Holtz.

In my ever e-x-p-a-n-d-i-n-g waistline, er, knowledge of papercrafts, I challenged myself to try something new. I signed up for an Altered Coaster Swap. Yup, it sounds like what it is exactly- altered paper coasters. Hey, TWO NEW THINGS- I also used an Aqua Painter SUCCESSFULLY! The coasters are from a Dollar Bin at Michael's and they've been collecting ALOT of dust in my cubbies. This project took some serious thinking as I did not know where to begin. Inspiration came from lots of gallery views on Splitcoaststampers- I may have even case'd this from someone and not even known. Again mostly SU supplies (are you seeing a trend here *wink,wink*?) Its been awhile since I've made a meaningful post. Its been a crazy week with just about everything turning into "something" I had to deal with. Anywho.. here's a catch up of what I have done. The jar is the "Wishing" jar I made for my friend's baby shower. It says "Prayers and Wishes for Kaysen" on the front and on the back it says " Spectacular Journey". The inside is filled with small scrolls of DP tied with matching ribbons. This was a great activity to do at the baby shower. The Ingrediants: Jar from Walmart, Ribbon from various manufactuers, Rub Ons from Memories, Paper from Provo Craft.

I've been busy catching up on all the swaps that are due in early March. I am particularly proud of this little number. I'm to cheap to buy the SU cloud stencil so I made my own, just cut some scrap cardstock into a cloud shape, and sponged on Tempteming Turquoise Classic Ink. Be sure and get the insurance. If you could see me right now, I got smoke coming out of my ears. I finally threw in the towel and bought a complete set of SU Inks on Ebay, and today was suppose to be the big day! Well no. The USPS LOST MY PACKAGE!!!!!!!!!!!! I about had a heart attack when the mail lady told me it was "lost", and in her exact words, "Its a good thing you got the insurance." (That tells you how much faith they have in their own work.) The PO lady proceeded to tell me that they have not been able to find "several packages lately." Yeesh. It seems like the postal customer service has declined a bit. I understand if this was a large city with multiple POs or millions of house holds to deliver too, but this is winky-dink Moses Lake, we have practically a ONE ROOM POST OFFICE! How is it possible to lose a package between my house and 7.5 minutes down the road to the PO.!!!!! Okay, enough venting........

I made this card for the Penny Pincher Slims Easter & Paisely swap. I thought this swap would be a breeze, but I was stumped for the longest time. If I could have a job making Wedding Invites and baking Cupcakes all day long, I would be in heaven! Any holiday, even President's day, is worth celebrating if you can have a cupcake! I made these cupcakes for work (I gotta bride people now and then... hehehe), and of course saved some for me. The secret to great cupcakes in a flash is... Betty Crocker Cake Mix! You can do just about anything with a vanilla mix. In honor of tomarrow's special day, and me slaving away in the restaurant kitchen, I baked Red Velvet Cupcakes. If you're in a pinch, here is my secret recipe.

1 box Vanilla Cake Mix
LOTS of RED FOOD COLORING
1 Package CHOCOLATE INSTANT PUDDING, sm box
and Cake mix package directions (usually 3 eggs, 1 1/4 c water, 1/3 c oil)
Tub-o-frosting ( I like the Whipped Butter Cream from BC)

Thats it! Instant success! Hope everyone has a fantastical valentine's day!

Remember that song from the Cars movie? I think its a great song, especially because I LOVE Rascal Flatts, but soo dang true in this chapter of my life. I spend way to much time driving across the interstates of Washington and sometimes Idaho. In a stupid moment while I was flying down I-82 leaving Yakima (that's where I went today, in case you are wondering), I thought it would be a great idea to take some pictures. I took this one and the two below while I was going 76.2 MPH, not bad for a $200 camera, I think it's a keeper.

Everytime I pass these trees I always think they would look great in a B&W photograph and since i happen to have my trusty new camera in my purse, I decided to take a few pics! So they didnt turn out to be magazine still life worthy, but still not bad for going 76.2 MPH!

Wedding Sneak Peak

My ultimate Dream job would be to design Wedding Stationary. I love working with great colors and textures. This invitation I designed from the ground up. At the end I will have handcut EVERY SINGLE sheet of paper! Yikes... image the paper cuts! These inviations are for Stacey and Derek, a great couple to work with!

For these invitations, I used Stampin' Up Baroque Motifs & Carte Postale stamp sets and Elegant Eggplant Ink. All the paper I bought at Paperzone. I created these invitations using a Mountain Cow program.
